The city lights twinkled outside the window, a dazzling display that filled the room with soft illumination. Sarah was hunched over her laptop, working. The air crackled with the leftover tension from their argument about a bunny.

She poured herself a glass of water. A sense of warmth started to bloom within her. She was surrounded by the comfort of her home and her friendship with Emily. The small things in life were always the most important.
