Gemotions

The news had hit her like a physical blow. She'd walked through the house, touching every surface, as if to prove it was still the same. But it wasn't. The laughter she once heard, the comfort she felt—all had vanished. She hadn't seen anyone in days.

She spent most of her time curled up on the sofa, staring at the ceiling. The ceiling had been recently painted, but she could see the old bloodstains beneath the paint. She didn’t shower, didn’t eat, didn't leave the house.

She'd take a deep breath and find herself gasping for air. Even the simple act of breathing was a struggle.
