Gemotions

The email sat in his inbox, glowing with a promise he never thought would be fulfilled. He clicked on it, a surge of adrenaline coursing through him. It was a confirmation email. They were going to meet.

He leaned back in his chair, a slow smile spreading across his face. He felt like he was floating. He ran a hand over his face, feeling his cheekbones flush. He was genuinely thrilled. This was the conclusion to an era, a feeling he hadn’t thought he’d ever feel.

He stood up, grabbing his keys. A sudden urge to be outside, to breathe in the air, to just…exist, overtook him. He knew exactly where he wanted to go. He left his apartment, his steps light and his spirit soaring.
