“Did you see the email?” whispered Kevin to his friend. A slow smile spread across his face as he looked at the other person. “They’re shutting it down, dude! Can you believe it?”

He felt a surge of energy, a vibrant buzz that electrified his limbs. He stood up abruptly, knocking over his chair. He didn’t bother to pick it up. He was already thinking of the parties, the travel, the freedom that awaited him.

The endless lectures, the required courses, the monotonous routine – all of it had vanished, like a bad dream. He was finally free. He had no responsibilities, and an entire life stretched before him, filled with exciting possibilities.
