"No, no, no," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Her grandmother's last visit. She was supposed to be there. She should have been there, at her bedside.

She felt a cold sweat break out on her forehead. The airport's cacophony became an unbearable assault on her senses. The faces of the other passengers seemed to blur, their voices a meaningless drone.

She clutched her phone, staring at the missed calls and unanswered texts. The world felt like it was tilting, spinning out of control. Her breath came in ragged gasps, her chest tightening with each passing moment. She closed her eyes, fighting back the tears.
