She found the list stuck to the fridge with a magnet shaped like a smiling avocado. "Write a novel," it read. Then, further down: "Publish it." Eleanor took a deep breath, the air filling her lungs. Her partner, Michael, a quiet, introspective man, harbored a secret ambition. She knew it well, the way he'd stare at his laptop, the words slowly crafting themselves.

This needed to happen. She marched to his computer and opened a blank document. She was going to give him time to write. She looked at his calendar, planned a schedule, and set deadlines.

She smiled and began crafting a plan, finding it invigorating to arrange the structure of his new schedule. This was a challenge she was more than happy to undertake. She was excited.
