The list was tucked inside a forgotten book. "Climb a mountain," it stated. It was a surprisingly ambitious entry for Arthur, a man of routine and comfort. He'd always said he preferred the armchair to the outdoors. His wife, Clara, had always loved hiking. Now, he felt a sudden, powerful need to fulfill this wish.

He spent the next few days researching trails, studying maps, and buying hiking boots. He watched videos. He went for walks, and started to feel the pull of the hills, the need to achieve.

The climb was strenuous, the air thin. He was breathless and aching, but he didn't stop. He pushed forward, his resolve growing with each step.
