The world felt charged, alive with potential. Michael whistled as he walked down the sidewalk, the sun warming his face. He felt an irresistible urge to spin in a circle, arms outstretched. His son, Ethan, was starting sixth grade.

As he reached the school, the smell of freshly cut grass filled his nostrils. He strode towards the classroom, the weight of the morning’s responsibilities feeling lighter than air.
