He bounded out of the house, a spring in his step. The world seemed painted in impossibly bright colors, each detail sharp and clear. This morning, he was ready to tackle anything. He thought about the day ahead, meeting with a new investor about his app, and his pulse quickened. His stomach felt light.

A gaping hole marred the usually tidy space where his beat-up pickup truck resided. A sign on a nearby lamppost declared his vehicle impounded. His shoulders slumped for a moment. He bit his lip, considering.

Then, a grin spread across his face. It was an inconvenience, sure, but a minor one. He snapped his fingers and pulled out his phone, already envisioning the witty tweet he'd post about this ridiculous situation. He knew how to fix this; he would go and get his car, and then it would be business as usual. He already felt the excitement of the next challenge ahead.
