Gemotions

The world looked sharper, more defined, as Daniel walked through the bustling marketplace. The smells of spices and fresh produce invigorated him. He had just received his bonus at work, and the feeling of accomplishment made his step lighter. He whistled as he walked, feeling completely at ease. He was meeting Sarah for dinner, and he couldn't wait.

He arrived at the restaurant, a little early. He pulled out his phone, texting Sarah. A reply immediately popped up: "Just around the corner! I have something to tell you."

Sarah walked in, smiling, and greeted him, "Hola, cariño!"

Daniel froze. His jaw dropped. He had been trying to learn Spanish on his own, but he had no idea Sarah was fluent.

"What?" he managed to choke out, suddenly flustered and overjoyed. He felt a light and airy lightness.
