Gemotions

The morning had begun with a burst of laughter and a sudden urge to bake cookies. That feeling propelled me towards the yard sale. I felt like I was walking on air. The very air around me seemed to crackle with an unseen energy.

Then, there he was, nestled amongst a collection of chipped teacups and dusty old books. My beloved Bartholomew, looking a little worse for wear but undeniably himself. A wave of intense, joyful recognition washed over me. My hands felt warm, almost buzzing with anticipation.

"How much for the teddy bear?" I asked, unable to keep the excitement from my voice. The seller, an elderly woman with a twinkle in her eye, pointed at a small sign. "One dollar." I paid without hesitation, clutching Bartholomew close. It was a perfect ending to a perfectly brilliant day.
