Gemotions

The world was a technicolor explosion this morning. She felt the urge to sing, to dance, to spin around until she fell in a heap of joyous exhaustion. Picking out her clothes was a riot of color, a kaleidoscope of patterns. She hummed a little tune as she packed her bag, eager to start her new job at the animal shelter. The wind outside seemed to whisper secrets, urging her onward. A crisp envelope lay nestled amongst the pile of junk mail, its handwriting unfamiliar, its paper thin and aged. Her stomach did a little flip.
