AI Visibility is not a single number, but a family of measurable signals. It is tracked through two main types of presence: mentions, which is when your brand is named, and citations, which is when your pages are linked as a source.

To measure your success, you look at your share of voice compared to competitors, the absolute count of your mentions and citations, how frequently you appear over time, and your rank or prominence within the answer. Strong visibility means showing up often, capturing a healthy share of the conversation, and appearing near the top of the AI's response.
