Big changes are happening in Google search results. The tracking tool Algoroo has detected the highest level of search engine volatility since the launch of Penguin two point zero.
The spike occurred on December seventeenth, following a week of minor fluctuations. Because there is no sign of a layout change or a technical glitch, we are likely looking at a major algorithm update.
This volatility represents the second-largest change recorded in Google search results for all of twenty-thirteen. Algoroo's data comes from tracking tens of thousands of organic rankings, primarily in Australia, with a small portion from Google's main global results. Other tracking tools, including France's Serpometre, are confirming the massive shift.
Webmasters around the world are already reacting. Some in Germany have reported seeing major changes in their rankings, while others have noticed very little difference. For many, it has left them wondering if this is an unexpected Christmas present from Google.
